C110 Piston Ring Set
🔗 Piston Ring Set · Compression Rings · Oil Ring · Engine Sealing Component
For Moped, Cub & ATV · Fits 139FMB, 147FMD, 147FMF, 150FMG engines
This is the C110 Piston Ring Set, a critical sealing component of the engine's piston assembly. It is suitable for Mopeds, Cub series, and ATVs, and fits engines including 139FMB, 147FMD, 147FMF, 150FMG, and similar models.
This piston ring set includes compression rings and an oil ring, installed in the piston ring grooves to form a tight seal against the cylinder wall, providing sealing, oil control, and heat transfer functions. Compression rings seal the combustion chamber to prevent high-pressure gas leakage, while the oil ring scrapes excess oil from the cylinder wall to control oil consumption. Manufactured from high-quality alloy cast iron or steel with chrome or nitriding surface treatment, these rings offer excellent wear resistance, elasticity, and fatigue strength. This set is the ideal replacement when the original piston rings show signs of wear, sticking, breakage, or poor sealing.
✨ Key Functions: Seals combustion chamber · Controls oil consumption · Transfers heat · Prevents blow-by · Restores compression pressure

📌 Compatibility Note: This piston ring set is suitable for the engine models listed above. Please select the correct specification based on your piston diameter (47mm rings for 70cc/90cc, 52.4mm rings for 110cc).
🔥 Combustion Sealing
Compression rings seal tightly against the cylinder wall, preventing high-pressure gas from leaking past the piston and maintaining compression and combustion pressure.
🛢️ Oil Control
The oil ring scrapes excess oil from the cylinder wall, controlling oil consumption and preventing oil from entering the combustion chamber.
🌡️ Heat Transfer
Transfers heat from the piston crown to the cylinder wall, helping to cool the piston.
🛡️ Wear Reduction
Forms an oil film between piston and cylinder, reducing direct contact wear and extending engine life.
⚠️ Piston Ring Failure Symptoms: Power loss, oil burning (blue smoke from exhaust), hard starting, low compression, increased fuel consumption, crankcase blow-by, heavy carbon buildup on spark plug. If these occur, inspect and replace the piston rings.
- Power Loss: Worn or stuck piston rings cause sealing failure, reduced compression pressure, and noticeable power decrease.
- Oil Burning: Blue smoke from exhaust, significantly increased oil consumption, heavy carbon buildup on spark plug electrodes.
- Hard Starting: Low compression makes starting difficult, especially when cold.
- Increased Fuel Consumption: Reduced combustion efficiency leads to significantly higher fuel consumption.
- Crankcase Blow-by: High-pressure gas leaks into the crankcase, causing increased crankcase pressure and smoke from the breather.
- Stuck or Broken Rings: Inspection reveals piston rings stuck in grooves or broken.
- Cylinder Bore Scoring: Broken or severely worn rings may cause cylinder wall scoring.
If you experience these symptoms, inspect the piston rings and cylinder, and replace if necessary.
- OEM Specifications: Manufactured to original dimensions and ring heights for perfect fitment with piston ring grooves.
- High-Quality Alloy Material: Made from premium alloy cast iron or steel with excellent elasticity and wear resistance.
- Surface Treatment: Compression rings feature chrome or nitriding surface treatment for enhanced wear resistance and scuff resistance.
- Precision Ring Gap: Ring end gaps are precisely controlled to ensure optimal sealing performance after installation.
- Optimized Oil Ring Design: Efficient oil ring design provides excellent oil scraping performance and effective oil consumption control.
- Complete Set: Includes 2 compression rings and 1 oil ring, meeting all piston ring replacement needs.
🔧 Installation Tip
1. Replacing piston rings requires removing the cylinder head and cylinder; professional installation is recommended.
2. Thoroughly clean piston ring grooves to remove carbon deposits and sludge before installation.
3. Check ring end gap and side clearance before installation to ensure they meet service manual specifications.
4. Pay attention to ring orientation during installation: rings with markings (e.g., "T", "TOP", or letters) should face upward.
5. Stagger ring end gaps to prevent alignment: position the top compression ring gap at approximately 45° from the piston pin axis, and stagger each ring gap 120°~180° apart.
6. Use a ring expander tool when installing rings to avoid over-expansion that could cause breakage or deformation.
7. Before installing the piston, apply engine oil to the piston rings and cylinder bore, and use a piston ring compressor.
8. New piston rings require a break-in period; avoid high RPM and heavy loads during initial operation.
Size Selection: For 70cc/90cc engines, select the piston ring set for 47mm pistons. For 110cc engines, select the piston ring set for 52.4mm pistons. Please verify your piston diameter and original specifications before purchase.
Installation Notes: Ensure proper ring orientation and stagger ring end gaps. It is recommended to inspect piston ring groove wear and replace the piston if necessary. Images are for reference only. The actual product may vary.
