🔧 Installation Tip
1. Replacing the piston assembly requires removing the cylinder head and cylinder; professional installation is recommended.
2. Clean the piston, piston pin, and connecting rod small end thoroughly to remove oil and debris before installation.
3. Apply engine oil to the piston pin and connecting rod small end bore for pre-lubrication before installing the pin.
4. When installing circlips, ensure they are fully seated in the piston pin bore circlip grooves to prevent axial movement.
5. When installing piston rings, ensure proper ring gap orientation with gaps staggered according to specifications.
6. Apply oil to the piston and cylinder bore before installation; use a piston ring compressor when installing the piston.
7. After installation, manually rotate the crankshaft several times to check for binding.
8. New piston assembly requires a break-in period; avoid high RPM and heavy loads during initial operation.
