This is the WH 150cc Cylinder Block, specifically designed for the QJ153QMI engine. The 153QMI is a modified version of the standard GY6 engine 152QMI, featuring improved cooling performance and enhanced reliability.

The cylinder block is a core structural component of the engine, providing a guided path for piston reciprocating motion and forming the combustion chamber together with the cylinder head. Manufactured from high-quality aluminum alloy with precision-honed cylinder walls, this cylinder block ensures excellent wear resistance and sealing performance. It is suitable for Keeway and other GY6 153QMI platform scooters.

🔧 Installation Guide

1. Ensure the engine is completely cooled and disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting.
2. Remove related engine components and either remove the engine from the frame or support it securely.
3. Remove the cylinder head, piston, and connecting rod, then take out the old cylinder block.
4. Thoroughly clean the crankcase mating surface, removing old gasket residue and oil contaminants.
5. Inspect the connecting rod, piston pin, and other components for wear; replace if necessary.
6. Install a new cylinder base gasket and position the new cylinder block over the locating dowels.
7. Install the piston and piston rings, ensuring ring gaps are staggered 120 degrees apart.
8. Install the cylinder head and tighten bolts in a diagonal pattern in stages to specified torque (approx. 20-25 N·m).
9. Reinstall related components, add fresh engine oil, and start the engine for break-in.
Important Note: Cylinder block installation involves critical engine components. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Always use a new cylinder head gasket and tighten bolts to the specified torque.

Proper break-in is essential after installing a new cylinder block to achieve optimal piston ring-to-cylinder wall seating:

• Break-In Period: Recommended 500-800 km (300-500 miles).
• RPM Control: Avoid prolonged high RPM operation during break-in; keep RPM below 70% of maximum.
• Load Control: Avoid hard acceleration, heavy loads, and steep hill climbing during break-in.
• Oil Change: Change oil after the first 200-300 km (120-180 miles), and again after the break-in period is complete.
• Oil Quality: Use high-quality mineral oil during break-in; switch to synthetic oil after break-in.
