🔧 Pre-Installation Preparation

• Ensure the vehicle is turned off and cooled down; the engine should be at room temperature.
• Prepare a drain pan, socket wrench or hex wrench, torque wrench, clean rags, and gloves.
• It is recommended to have fresh engine oil ready for refilling after the oil filter replacement.

🌬️ Step 1: Replace Air Filter Element (0800-112000-20010)

• Locate the air filter box (usually under the hood or seat).
• Release the clips or screws on the filter box cover and open it.
• Carefully remove the old air filter element, taking care not to shake dust into the intake tract.
• Inspect the inside of the filter box for dust or debris and clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
• Place the new air filter element into the box, ensuring correct orientation and a flush fit with the edges.
• Close the filter box cover and secure the clips or screws, ensuring a good seal.

🛢️ Step 2: Replace Cartridge Oil Filter (0800-011300-0004) and O-Ring (0800-014003)

• Place the vehicle on level ground. Remove the drain plug and drain the old oil into the pan.
• Locate the oil filter cap (usually on the side or bottom of the engine, with a visible housing).
• Using the appropriate tool, remove the retaining bolt(s) or screw(s) securing the oil filter cap. Carefully remove the cap (note that residual oil may spill).
• Remove the old cartridge filter element from inside the filter cap.
• ⚠️ Critical Step: Remove the old O-ring and thoroughly clean the sealing groove on the filter cap and the mounting surface with a clean rag.
• Place the new O-ring (0800-014003) correctly into the sealing groove, ensuring it is not twisted or protruding. Apply a small amount of fresh engine oil to the O-ring for lubrication.
• Install the new cartridge filter element (0800-011300-0004) into the filter cap in the correct orientation (pay attention to alignment guides).
• Align the filter cap with the mounting base and carefully push it in. Hand-thread the retaining bolt to ensure proper thread alignment.
• Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolt to 10–12 N·m (refer to your vehicle's service manual for exact specification).
• Tighten the drain plug and refill with the recommended amount of fresh engine oil.

✅ Step 3: Post-Installation Check

• Start the engine and let it idle for 1–2 minutes. Inspect around the oil filter cap for any leaks.
• Check that the air filter box cover is securely installed with no air leaks.
• Turn off the engine, wait a moment, and check the oil level on the dipstick. Top up to the proper level if needed.
• Record the mileage and date of this service for future maintenance reference.

💡 Cartridge Oil Filter Replacement Key Points

• Always replace the O-ring simultaneously when changing the cartridge filter — this is critical for preventing oil leaks.
• Ensure the O-ring is fully seated in the groove without twisting or deformation.
• Do not overtighten the filter cap bolt, as this can damage the housing or seal.
• If you are not experienced with mechanical repairs, we recommend having this installed by a professional technician.
