CG Fuel Filter Component
🔧 Fuel Filter · Gasoline Filter · CG125/CG150 Engine · Fuel System Component
For CG125 · CG150 4-Stroke Engines · Fuel Filtration Protection
This is the CG Fuel Filter Component, a critical filtration component for the fuel system of CG125 and CG150 4-stroke engines. Specifically designed for CG series engines, this filter is suitable for motorcycles, ATVs, and various other vehicles, making it the ideal choice for fuel system maintenance.
The fuel filter is installed in the fuel line to remove contaminants and impurities from the fuel, protecting the carburetor or fuel injection system. Contaminated fuel can lead to clogged carburetor jets, which results in a lean mixture, causing performance losses and engine failures. This filter uses high-quality filtration media to effectively remove impurities, ensuring a clean and unobstructed fuel system.
✨ Core Functions: Remove fuel contaminants · Protect carburetor/injectors · Prevent jet clogging · Ensure proper air-fuel mixture · Extend engine life
⚠️ Important: Installation Direction
Make sure to connect it in the correct direction! The filter housing typically has an arrow indicating fuel flow direction. The arrow must point toward the carburetor/engine. Incorrect installation can restrict fuel flow, causing fuel starvation and lean mixture conditions.
💨 Common Symptoms
• Hard starting or no start
• Poor acceleration, loss of power
• Rough idle, stalling
• Fuel starvation at high speed
• Clogged carburetor jets causing lean mixture
• White spark plug electrode (lean mixture)
• Backfiring from exhaust
🔍 Possible Causes
• Filter not replaced for long period, clogged
• Poor fuel quality, excessive contaminants
• Filter installed in wrong direction
• Damaged filter allowing contaminants to pass
• Low-quality filter with poor filtration efficiency
⚠️ Important Note: Contaminated fuel can lead to clogged carburetor jets, resulting in a lean mixture. This may cause performance losses, engine overheating, and even severe engine damage such as cylinder scoring. Regular fuel filter replacement is an effective preventive measure.

💡 Compatibility Note: This fuel filter is suitable for CG125, CG150, and other carbureted engines. Before installation, verify that the fuel line connection size matches.
- Efficient Filtration: High-density filter paper or nylon mesh effectively removes contaminants and moisture from fuel, protecting the carburetor.
- Clear Housing: Transparent plastic housing allows visual inspection of filter condition and fuel flow, making maintenance easy.
- Standard Connection: Standard fuel line connection size fits most CG series engine fuel systems.
- Fuel-Resistant Material: Housing manufactured from high-quality fuel-resistant materials for durability and long service life.
- Easy Installation: Simply insert into the fuel line and secure with clamps — no special tools required.
- Prevents Failures: Effectively prevents carburetor jet clogging and lean mixture conditions that cause power loss and engine damage.
🔧 Installation Guide
1. Turn off the fuel petcock to prevent fuel leakage.
2. Locate the original filter position in the fuel line (between the fuel tank and carburetor).
3. Loosen the clamps on both ends with pliers and disconnect the fuel lines, catching any spilled fuel.
4. Remove the old filter and inspect the fuel lines for contaminants.
5. Install the new filter, ensuring the arrow points toward the carburetor/engine direction.
6. Push the fuel lines firmly onto the filter connections until fully seated.
7. Install and tighten the clamps securely.
8. Turn on the fuel petcock and check for fuel leaks.
9. Start the engine and verify proper fuel delivery.
Important Note: Installation direction is critical — incorrect installation will restrict fuel flow! Replace the filter every 5,000-10,000 km or when the filter media appears visibly dirty.
Installation Direction: Make sure to connect it in the correct direction! The arrow on the filter housing must point toward the carburetor/engine. Incorrect installation can restrict fuel flow, causing fuel starvation and lean mixture conditions.
Maintenance Recommendation: Contaminated fuel can lead to clogged carburetor jets, resulting in a lean mixture that causes performance losses and engine failures. Regularly inspect and replace the fuel filter as recommended.
Installation Note: Ensure fuel lines are fully seated and clamps are tight. Check for fuel leaks after installation. Product images are for reference only; actual product may vary.
