C110 Crankshaft Connecting Rod
🔧 Connecting Rod · Conrod · Engine Moving Component
For Moped, Cub, Dirty Bike & ATV · Fits 139FMB, 147FMD, 147FMF, 150FMG engines
This is the C110 Crankshaft Connecting Rod, a core component of the engine's crank mechanism. It is suitable for Mopeds, Cub series, Dirty Bikes, and ATVs, and fits engines including 139FMB, 147FMD, 147FMF, 150FMG, and similar models.
The connecting rod assembly connects the piston to the crankshaft, converting the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotary motion of the crankshaft while withstanding tremendous tensile, compressive, and bending loads. Manufactured from high-quality alloy steel through forging, precision machining, and heat treatment, it offers high strength, toughness, and excellent fatigue resistance. The big end connects to the crankshaft journal, while the small end connects to the piston via the piston pin. This connecting rod is the ideal replacement when the original shows signs of bending, deformation, cracks, bearing wear, or abnormal noise.
✨ Key Functions: Transmits piston force · Converts reciprocating to rotary motion · Withstands high loads · Controls piston stroke · Ensures smooth engine operation

🔄 Motion Conversion
Converts piston reciprocating motion into crankshaft rotary motion, a critical step in power output.
💪 Load Bearing
Withstands enormous tensile, compressive, and bending loads from combustion, requiring high material strength.
📏 Stroke Control
Connecting rod length determines piston stroke, directly affecting engine displacement and torque characteristics.
🛡️ Balance & Vibration
Works with crankshaft counterweights to balance inertia forces and reduce engine vibration.
⚠️ Connecting Rod Failure Symptoms: Engine knocking noise (metallic sound), increased engine vibration, power loss, abnormal oil pressure, or in severe cases, rod failure causing catastrophic engine damage. If these occur, stop operation immediately and inspect/replace the connecting rod.
- Engine Knocking: Rhythmic metallic knocking from the big end bearing that intensifies with engine RPM.
- Increased Vibration: Bent or deformed connecting rod causes rough engine operation and noticeable vibration.
- Power Loss: Bent rod changes piston stroke and compression ratio, resulting in power reduction.
- Abnormal Oil Pressure: Severe big end bearing wear may cause oil pressure drop.
- Metal Particles: Metal powder or debris found in engine oil during draining.
- Bent or Cracked Rod: Visible bending, twisting, or cracks found during inspection.
If you experience these symptoms, inspect the connecting rod and bearings, and replace if necessary.
- Forged Alloy Steel: Made from high-strength alloy steel through forging for dense internal structure and high strength.
- Precision Machined: Small and big end bores are precision-bored for accurate fit with piston pin and crankshaft.
- Heat Treated: Through-hardening process provides excellent mechanical properties.
- OEM Specifications: Manufactured to original dimensions for perfect fitment.
- Lightweight Design: Optimized cross-section reduces weight while maintaining strength, lowering reciprocating inertia.
- High Reliability: Rigorous crack detection ensures defect-free quality.
🔧 Installation Tip
1. Replacing the connecting rod requires engine disassembly and crankshaft removal; professional installation is recommended.
2. Before installation, check the big end bearing and small end bushing clearance to ensure they meet service manual specifications.
3. Pay attention to connecting rod orientation: markings (such as arrows or letters) should face the front of the engine.
4. Use a proper tool for piston pin installation; avoid hammering.
5. Big end bolts must be tightened to the specified torque using a torque wrench, following the correct sequence.
6. After installation, manually rotate the crankshaft several times to confirm smooth operation without binding.
7. It is recommended to replace the big end bearings and piston pin simultaneously for optimal fit.
8. New connecting rod requires a break-in period; avoid high RPM during initial operation.
Size Selection: For 70cc/90cc engines, select the short connecting rod. For 110cc engines, select the long connecting rod. Please verify your engine displacement and original connecting rod dimensions before purchase. If unsure, contact customer service with your engine model or measure the original rod center distance.
Installation Notes: Big end bolts must be torqued to specifications. Pay attention to connecting rod orientation. It is recommended to replace matching bearings simultaneously. Images are for reference only. The actual product may vary.
